Interesting. But I'm skeptical of the methodology. Having been to all three places, I doubt that Portland, Ore., is really more miserable than either St. Louis or Detroit. Just because it's cloudier and more people have seasonal affective disorder?
I wonder if Jacksonville's depression/suicide/divorce rates have to do with military deployment?
