Jane and Jane show!

We had my mother in town this past weekend, to celebrate her birthday, which was in mid July, and Janie's birthday. I decided that I was going to put up a swing for the little Jane, (although I guess the big one can use it too if she wants!)

I originally wanted to just hang a simple rope swing, which I liked because it wouldn't take up a lot of room in the yard. Then I decided that I would look into those swing set kits, but you know, all that crap is made in China, and Chinese stained wood just seems super scary to me, like knowing the recent trend in current events, that the stain might actually be something either foul like duck blood, or maybe even worse!

In the end, I would up using some of the off the shelf swing set components, but I made my own swing set structure. turned out pretty nice if I do say so myself.

One of my co-workers says I should sell measured plans on the Internet. Hmmm...
