I just want wider bars with more sweep, and I think I'll need to have a proper stem made to do it. I won't dump the threadless because the fork is the standard issue Klein/Spinner fork painted to match the frame, and I looked around for a long time to find a clean frame fork combo in the right size that wasn't dayglo Klein ugly. I'd do a Mission COntrol, but I plan to continue riding this bike off-road, and I'd like to keep my teeth.
This is just a test setup to allow me to have a removeable face stem and play with height and reach, but it is so ugly I don't know if I want to take it out of the shop!

Quills are silly. Change the headset and put a 1" threadless on it.

Couldn't do it. Couldn't leave that ugly thing on my beautifil Klein.
